2009

After a rocky start transitioning from Invisionfree to Zetaboards, 2009 was the year IGNO really started to make a comeback - arguably surpassing 2007's legacy as the most active period of IGNO history. This time saw another influx of numerous new members, most of whom continue to remain part of our core of active members to this day.

An important thing to note about 2009 is that much of our activity and culture was actually spread across two forums - IGNO, and LG's own Dragonball-themed forum, YDB. YDB had been around for a few years at that time, and was undergoing its own revival - it just so happened that the three members at the heart of YDB (SG2, LG and xL) were also on IGNO. They were later joined by Hamel, PWR, and Tim, who then in turn also joined IGNO. Despite having a Dragonball theme on the surface, YDB quickly turned into a sort of 'IGNO Junior' with these six members getting up to many of the same antics IGNO was known for on both sites. Even some jokes that are now considered IGNO memes (such as Pink and the Zetabug) originated not on IGNO, but on YDB. Hence, this period is often referred to as the 'Summer of YDB', even when discussing events that actually took place on IGNO.
