The following year, SG2 wrote the follow-up story, featuring her own take on the characters - this was the beginning of the tradition. By the third year, the IGNO Forums had officially been born, and thus the new story would involve even more characters – this resulted in a large-scale epic wherein the members of IGNO broke off into teams and engaged in a Christmas-saving mission against the Grinch Krampus, the formula that eventually became standard for the stories.
Several stories have since been written, each one with new cast members and (frequently) the departure of old ones. The stories are written with a largely improvisational nature – a basic theme and outline is planned, but all the dialogue and the majority of the individual scenes are written spontaneously off the top of SG2's head. The foundation of each story is to make use of numerous Christmas and general fiction cliches, padded out with jokes and references from the forums. In recent years, these stories have become (slightly) more serious, as well, with better thought out plots and character development alongside the silliness.
