Although Hector is a concubus and can technically appear any way he desires, his preferred form is that of a young man approximately in his mid-20's. He's about six feet tall, with dark hair, dark eyes, and tanned skin. Everything about him is, like with many concubi, almost irresistibly attractive and designed to appear so--hair is artfully styled, roguish bit of stubble, appears to have perfect abs even when he never works out, skin is flawless, etc. He has a pair of horns like most demons, but can also adjust their shape and appearance to match whatever look he's going for. Tends to always dress in the latest fashion and always pulls it off, or wearing clothes that deliberately show off his excellent physique. Also has a tendency to just go shirtless around the Blood Castle.

A lover, not a fighter, Hector is generally easy going and non-confrontational, preferring to be friendly with (or more likely, flirt with) most people he meets instead. Unlike many concubi, Hector does not actually work in the sex industry or even carry a Whore Card. Instead, he is an expert at cleaning pools and dealing with unusual Blood Country plant growth, and is now the official gardener and pool boy for the Blood Castle.

While some concubi outside the sex worker industry prefer to downplay their sexual qualities, Hector continues to flaunt his; he knows exactly how hot he is and is quite confident in himself in this regard. He is also very confident in social contexts in general, and can be friendly, charming, and excellent with people as a general rule. He's quite skilled at picking up on sexual desires, but also at peoples' general ambitions, interests, and non-sexual or non-romantic desires, and can be encouraging (or manipulative) of them depending on if he's an ally or not. Can be a hard worker when he wants to be and is very skilled at his job, but he's also perfectly content with being a freeloader or using his appearance or sexual skills to get whatever he wants or needs, and is completely unashamed of doing so. (Actually, he's completely unashamed in general).

As a concubus he requires life force obtained from the sexual climax of others; as a person he actually finds personal pleasure in pleasuring others regardless of if he benefits from it feeding-wise. This makes him quite open to relationships with individuals that do not provide life energy, such as the undead, which is seen as a bit unusual amongst many concubi. Hector also prefers a male form, but is open to virtually all types of partners, making him pansexual. Although he is a bit of a free spirit and does enjoy sleeping around a lot--both out of necessity and out of desire--he does find himself committed to the Blood Kaiser with surprising loyalty, and these days his one-night stands tend to be more for the need to feed than for desire for companionship. His relationship with the Blood Kaiser was somewhat unexpected, but it's clear that both actually do care about each other quite a lot (even outside of the sexual components); Hector is one of the few people the Kaiser can relax around without needing to worry about appearances, and she in turn provides him with some stability and companionship that he wasn't entirely aware he needed at first. It turns out, much to Hector's surprise, that he actually has something of a romantic streak, which he uses almost exclusively with the Kaiser.

Not much is known about his history prior to working at the Blood Castle. It is unknown exactly when Hector moved out of the Demon Realm, and he himself has a bit of difficulty translating the time he did, but it does seem he's a lot older than he actually appears. He moved to the Blood Country once it had been firmly established by the Blood Kaiser, and relations with monsters and demons had become more commonplace.

No longer needing to hide or trick his way into feeding, Hector was more than content to flaunt and charm his way through life, although he was never interested in joining a brothel or obtaining a Whore Card. Instead he started working for an agency in the Blood Country that specializes in groundskeeping for wild and exotic locations, and became exceptionally good at it. He also found this was a great way to feed, as frequenting peoples' homes on jobs frequently led to interesting sexual encounters in pools, gardens, and their houses on a regular basis. Life took a different turn when he was summoned to the Blood Castle itself to deal with the not-inconsiderable groundskeeping problems there after their fifth gardener in a row was devoured by carnivorous plants or got the standard pool for guests full of blood. Hector was more than up to the challenge, and actually enjoyed the task of dealing with these monstrous grounds.

Not unsurprisingly to him, the Kaiser herself was also instantly attracted to him, which led to an interesting encounter in the hot tub. What was surprising was that the Kaiser continued to contract his services for dealing with her grounds after, since he was the only one capable of actually keeping the gardens and pools in order. Things progressed from there and a few more one-day stands turned into a friends with benefits relationship, which in turn progressed into something a little stronger. Eventually, the Blood Kaiser offered him a full-time live-in position at the Castle as both the official pool boy and gardener, as well as her consort, which he gladly accepted. Now, Hector earns his keep by cleaning the blood and guest pools, as well as keeping the Blood Kaiser very, very satisfied.

As a concubus, Hector is a natural shapeshifter, although his appearance will always remain relatively humanoid. As a Shadow demon, Hector is skilled with some illusions and misdirecting abilities, although this also does make him exceptionally weak to Light abilities. Hector rarely if ever enters combat, and usually prefers to charm or trick his way out of it; in a direct fight he is unlikely to succeed.

Hector has an exceptional singing voice, which can be used to both entertain as well as hypnotize, or make creatures more docile. He is also very skilled with plants and gardening, and cleaning pools. Hector has a good eye for fashion and appearance and can give good advice in this regard. He gives the most amazing massages--which will usually progress into something sexual but doesn't always have to. In regards to sex, as a concubus his sexual prowess is exceptional. Can be a bit lazy or a freeloader, which can sometimes hold him back from his full potential, since he may tend to rely on his sexiness and sexual prowess to get what he wants and not actually develop any further skills or abilities.
